NORDLÁNDDA KAL

Nordlándda KAL

The Holiday season for crafters is often the time of year when many of us are frantically finishing gift knits or looking forward to some indulgent time to make for ourselves. As our thoughts turn to friends and community this year, we thought the Winter Solstice was a good day to mark new beginnings and cast on for our latest knitalong. We’ve chosen a collection inspired by the cold, with each accessory taking its name from Nordlándda, a place in Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. Within the collection are hats, cowls, mittens and scarves that call for 1-3 skeins, making these perfect for sudden snow fall or the need for something comforting on your needles.

Skeins of Tundra

The Nordlándda Collection was released almost a year ago and was designed by  knitwear designer, Rachel Brown. All the designs are worked up in Tundra, our 2 ply bulky weight yarn which combines baby alpaca, merino and silk. The combination of soft fabric, cables and clean lines means a choice of accessory patterns that are good for those wanting to try their hand at new skills whilst still providing satisfaction and comfort to those of us used to the odd slipped stitch or two.

Rachel is kindly offering a promotional code for her designs if you’d like to join us in the next 3 months that we’ll be working up these designs. Simply enter “Northland17”  at the checkout on Ravelry to receive 3 patterns for the price of 2.
