Astris Shawl is a sophisticated triangular shawl full of elegance and texture that is easy-to-wear and easy-to-care-for. YARN:
The Fibre Co. Amble (70% Easy-wash Merino wool, 20% Easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon, 325 m (355 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Scafell Pike – 3 hanks.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This triangular shawl starts at one corner, increasing the st count every RS row. The first section is worked in simple Garter stitch. The second and third sections feature a series of eyelet motifs. The final section, the edging, is worked in an elegant lace. To create a slightly stretchy edge, a Suspended Cast-Off is recommended.

Wingspan along top edge: 165 cm (65 in)
Depth: 75 cm (29.5 in)

TENSION/GAUGE:
23 sts and 44 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over Garter st after blocking using 3.25mm (US 3) needles.
Lace panel (16 sts) measures 7.5cm (3 in) wide.

  • 3.25mm (US 3) 80 cm (32 in) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
  • Cable needle
