About Carrousel de Paris

Carrousel de Paris, designed by Emma Wright, celebrates the many merry-go-rounds scattered through Paris and is named after the popular carrousel in the Jardin du Trocadéro.

This back buttoned top is knit from the bottom up starting with a pretty fern lace stitch that makes a light and beautifully handled fabric. The lace stitch ends just at the chest where a second colour is added for a feature stripe sequence. Capped sleeves add a feminine touch and the open back features large fabric covered buttons.

A classic DK weight yarn, Luma is inspired by the mood and light found in mid-latitude savannas—those grassland ecosystems with open canopies allowing plenty of sunlight.

April in Paris is The Fibre Co.’s debut collection for the yarn Luma. There are six patterns inspired by the ‘City of Lights’ with each design taking its name from a Paris landmark.

To fit chest circumference of: 86 [96: 106]cm (34 [38: 42]in)

Finished measurements
Garment chest circumference: 90 [104: 113]cm (35.5 [41: 44.5]in)

Recommended Ease:

Designed with 4 – 7 cm (1.5 – 2.75 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

You will also need:

• 4mm (US 6) knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge)
• 5 x 18mm self-cover buttons
• Darning needle
