Celosias Kit

Celosias

Designed by Jennifer Steingass, the Celosias sweater is a quick and easy top down and seamless project featuring a stranded yoke and a split hi-lo hem. Knit in Luma, this sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Short rows are added to shape the neckline and the stranded yoke is worked. The sleeves and body are separated and worked in the round.

Kit contains:

• Two sleeve length options available:
  • Short version – 6 [6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 8][8, 9, 9, 9, 10, 10] hanks of MC and 1 [1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2][2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2] hanks of CC in The Fibre Co. Luma
  • Long version – 8 [9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11][12, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14] hanks of MC and 1 [1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2][2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2] hanks of CC in The Fibre Co. Luma
• Free Project Bag from The Fibre Co.

Colours:

The photos show the short sleeve in the shades Sherry (MC) and Flax (CC) and the long sleeve in the shades Aizome (MC) and Pearl River (CC).  We have selected additional colour combinations as shown above, but if you prefer another combination, please note your choice in the comments when checking out.

Recommended ease

The pattern is intended to have 10 cm (4 in) of positive ease.

You will also need:

• US 4-3.5 mm dpns or 40 cm (16 in) circular (for neckline)
• US 4-3.5mm 60 cm (24 in) circular (for ribbed hem)
• US 4-3.5 mm dpns (for cuff)
• US 6-4 mm dpns
• US 6-4 mm 80 cm (32 in) or longer circular (for yoke, body and magic looping sleeves)
• 2 different stitch markers
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Waste yarn
