Drops Beanie Kit

About Drops Beanie

Designed by Lyudmila Aksenik, the Drops Beanie is knit from the bottom up and has a folded brim worked in 2 x 2 ribbing. The body of the beanie is worked in 2 colors with the main pattern worked in 2 colours using a 1 x 1 twisted mock cable.

Kit contents:

• PDF of Drops Beanie knitting pattern by Lyudmila Aksenik
• 1 hank of MC and 1 hank of CC of The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool, 250 m (274 yd) per 100 g hank)
• Project Bag from The Fibre Co.

Colour:

The photos show the hat in the shades Reliable (MC) and Happiness (CC). Choose any two colours from the two sets of colour swatches shown above.

Size:

The pattern is written for three adult sizes to fit head circumference: 50-52 [55-57: 60-62] cm (19.75-20.5 [21.75-22.5: 23.75-24.5] in)

If your head circumference is inbetween sizes, the designer suggests going up in your needle size by 0.25mm/US 1 and working the smaller size.

Recommended ease:

Designed with approximately 5-10% negative ease.

You will also need:

• 4mm (US 6) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
• 4mm (US 6) 40 cm (16 in) double pointed needles for the crown (or size to obtain gauge)
• 3.5mm (US 4) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle for ribbing (or size to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers
• Darning needle
