About Grand Cerf

Grand Cerf is a knitting pattern designed by Emma Wright that celebrates the labyrinth of hidden passages scattered across Paris and is named after the beautifully restored Passage du Grand Cerf located in the 2nd arrondissemend.

This flattering top has a simple construction knit from the bottom up with minimal shaping. The top is finished with a riband slashed neck opening. There are side splits to the waist with a slightly longer rib at the back hem compared to the front.

A classic DK weight yarn, Luma is inspired by the mood and light found in mid-latitude savannas—those grassland ecosystems with open canopies allowing plenty of sunlight.

April in Paris is The Fibre Co.’s debut collection for the yarn Luma. There are six patterns inspired by the ‘City of Lights’ with each design taking its name from a Paris landmark.

To fit chest circumference: 86 [96: 106] cm (34 [38: 42] in)

Finished measurements
Garment chest circumference: 92 [104:115] cm, (36.25 [41: 45.25] in)

Recommended Ease:

Designed with 6 – 8 cm (2.5 – 3 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

You will also need:

• 1 pair 4.5mm (US 7) straight or circular needles (or size to obtain gauge)
• 1 set 4.5mm (US 7) needles for small circumfernce knitting
