The cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom to underarm, then split into the back and two fronts. Sleeves are worked in the round to the sleeve cap. The set in sleeves and shoulder seams add stability.

YARN:
The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 15%silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 145 m (159 yds) per 50 g hank) in Agate – 6 [7: 8: 9: 10: 11] hanks

NEEDLES:
Size 3 US (3.25mm) circular needle 32″ or 80cm, OR SIZE TO GET GAUGE
Size 3 (3.25mm) double pointed needles
Stitch markers
Stitch holders
About 11 (11-12-12-13-13) 5/8″ buttons (see note about buttons)

TENSION/GAUGE:
24 stitches & 34 rows = 4″ (10cm) in stockinette stitch me
28 stitches and 32 rows = 4″ or 10cm in half twisted rib
