Designed by Norah Gaughan, this seamless cardigan begins by working the collar and then the center back panel is picked up and worked down. The front lapels are worked next, then each side of the body is picked up and worked outward. After a three needle bind off for the side seam the remaining sleeve stitches are worked on circular needles or doubled pointed needles to the cuff. Garment chest circumference (at underarm): 106.5 [117: 127: 137: 147: 157.5] cm (42 [46: 50: 54: 58: 62] in)
Recommended ease:
Designed with 30.5 cm (12 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.
You will also need:
- 4mm (US 6) 40 cm (16 in) & 81 cm (32 in) circular needles
- 3.75mm (US 5) OR one size smaller then body needle, 40 cm (16 in) circular needles or double pointed needles for sleeve rib
- Stitch markers
- Two 3/4 in buttons
- Darning needle
