St. Bega Cowl and Mitts Kit

Designed by Emma Welford, this cowl and mitts set feature a minimalist aesthetic with undulating curves, just what is needed to banish the cold. The cowl features beautiful knitted tucks so it sits just right because no one likes a cold blast of wintry weather when wearing their most trusted layers.

The St. Bega Cowl is worked in the round, in one piece, with integrated tucks to break up an otherwise gentle knit. The St. Bega Mitts feature decorative tucks knitted into the piece as it is worked. The soft shaping created by these details means just a little more warmth and comfort from an otherwise blank canvas. Worked in the round in one piece, these fast and easy mitts make the perfect gift to a loved one or yourself.

The Fibre Co. Arranmore Light (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk, 300 m (328 yd) per 100g hank) in Slieve Sunset – 2 hanks.

Colours:

The photos show the cowl and mitts in the shade Slieve Sunset. Choose from any shade of Arranmore Light as shown above.

Needles and notions required:

For Cowl:

• 3.75mm (US 5) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
• 3.75mm (US 5) straight/double point or cable needle for tucks
• Stitch markers
• Darning needle

For Mitts:

• 3.75mm (US 5) set of double pointed needles or circular needles for your preferred method of working small circumference knitting in the round (or size to obtain gauge)
• 3.75mm (US 5) straight/double point or cable needle for tucks
