YARN:
The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% Merino wool, 30% Masham wool, 10% mohair; 300 m (328 yd) per 100 g hank) in Windermere – 4 [4: 4: 5: 5: 6: 6: 7: 7] hanks.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This yoke sweater is knitted top down seamlessly in the round to the underarm where the work is then divided for the sleeves and body. Short row shaping is incorporated at the yoke before dividing for an improved fit. The body is then worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up in the round and knitted top down.

Advanced beginner.

Photographs show the garment knit in Size 3 on a model with a chest circumference of 78 cm (30.5 in).

RECOMMENDED EASE:
Designed with 0-10 cm (0-4 in) of negative ease at chest circumference.

TENSION/GAUGE:
24 sts and 30 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st after blocking using 3.75mm (US 5) needles.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3.5mm (US 4) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
  • 3.75mm (US 5) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holders or waste yarn
  • Darning needle
