About Strut Socks

Strut is a cuff down sock designed by Deborah Breland with an afterthought heel that is lacy, sexy, and gender neutral. These socks are stunning in The Fibre Company’s Amble in their Saddleback Slate colorway, and they will look smashing in heels, loafers, or Doc Martens.

The lace is intuitive, and the afterthought heel makes this a great on the go project since the shaping can be saved till the end of the sock. The Rick Rack Rib at the cuff adds interest and instructions are included for optionally working the same ribbing over the top of the toe.

This design is a collaboration for The Fibre Co.’s ‘Month of Socks‘ – a celebration of all things sock in June, with a full schedule of classes, loads of new socks designs to inspire and encourage sock knitters.

• 2 hanks of The Fibre Co. Amble (70% Easy-wash Merino wool, 20% Easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon, 325 m (355 yd) per 100 g hank)
• Project Bag from The Fibre Co.

You will also need:

• 2.25mm (US 1) and 2.5mm (US 1) needles for your preferred sock knitting method, or sizes needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Waste yarn(s)
• Stitch markers (optional)
