With a dash of whimsy and a pinch of practicality, Tamdou is a cosy asymmetrical triangular shawl that’s perfect for showing off bright colors.Latticed lace sections are interspersed with garter stitch stripes, and a splash of picot in a contrast color binds off the edge.The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering creates a fabric that’s both sturdy and soft, with a lovely drape.

The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% merino wool, 30% brown masham wool, 10% mohair; 300m (328yds) per 100g hank) in
Hadrian’s Wall (A) – 1 hank,
Scafell Pike (B) – 1 hank and
Helvellyn (C) – 1 hank.

NEEDLES:
3.5mm (US 4) circular needles or size to obtain gauge.

TENSION/GAUGE:
9 sts x 19 rows = 5cm (2″) x 5cm (2″) in garter stitch on size 3.5mm (US4) needles, blocked.

GARMENT MEASUREMENTS:
280cm (110″) wingspan along top edge and 60cm (23.5″) width
