YARN:
The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 145 m (159 yd) per 50 g hank) in Moonstone – 8 [9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14: 15: 16] hanks.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This garment has three-quarter sleeves and is worked flat in pieces. The Back and Front are worked bottom up starting with a 1×1 Rib hem, then in 3×3 Rib and Broken Rib patterns. The Front has split hem, starting with 1×1 Rib hems in two separate sections which are joined after the welt. The shoulders are joined with 3-needle Cast-Off working from the RS so the seam is decorative. Sleeve stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked flat in Broken Rib from the armhole to the shaped split cuff. The neckband is picked up and worked in 1×1 rib, starting in the round then split and worked flat to finish.

As this yarn is hand dyed you will have to work with two hanks at the same time. Before you begin, wind two hanks into balls. Work two rows using the ball from the first skein, drop the yarn you are using and switch to the ball from the second hank and work the next two rows. Repeat this, carrying the yarn not in use up the side of your work until you have completed the sweater.

Intermediate.
