We have recently had a few questions about Cirro, our super soft brushed alpaca yarn blended with Merino and cotton, so we put together a little video to share knitting tutorials and tips about the yarn.
The video talks you through:
- a top knit tip about why you should be using lifelines in your projects
- how different shades of Cirro look when they’re knit into swatches and projects
- how to wash and block your Cirro project to show it off at its best.
More About Cirro – A beautifully soft Merino, cotton and alpaca yarn
The Fibre Co.’s first brushed yarn is made in a mill in Southern Peru, home of the alpaca.
Cirro is a sport weight yarn combining long lustrous Suri alpaca with Merino wool, and then wrapping this fluffy fibre around an organic cotton thread to make a light and airy yarn perfectly balanced for body and drape.
This dreamy palette of gorgeous soft pastel tones is what makes Cirro such a special alpaca yarn. Cirro creates a delightfully soft haloed fabric that is light as a feather, and easily worn against the skin.
“Step this way for fluffy gorgeousness! Suri alpaca and merino are wrapped around a cotton core, then brushed for a dreamy halo. Cirro feels light, airy and super-soft, and has a wonderful drape. There are many sophisticated shades to choose from. Cirro also blends beautifully with other yarns to add fluffy softness.” – The Knitter, Issue 173
