Made in England’s historical textile region of West Yorkshire, Lore is 100% lambswool from the Romney sheep, locally known as Kent lamb. It is an honest woollen-spun DK weight yarn that blooms beautifully after washing, making it a perfect yarn for colorwork. Garments made from Lore will wear well and are perfect for everyday and special adventures alike.
Lore is also available in 25 g mini balls with approximately 62 m (68 yd).

I have so enjoyed working with this yarn. I have just finished a sweater in the colourway 'Healer'. The yarn has been a delight to knit with and is much softer than I expected it to be after washing and blocking. I can wear it against my skin and it's delightfully lightweight, fairly lofty and warm. The sweater pattern is gansey-inspired so as a worsted-spun yarn Lore was an unconventional choice, but the slightly softer stitch definition has made for a gorgeous result and I'm wearing the sweater every day! Would highly recommend the yarn and the company.

This yarn knits nicely but it is not a wool that I would want next to my skin. I’m using it for a sweater that will have a shirt underneath, so that works beautifully.

Knits up beautifully! Yarn does not split. Knits smoothly. It is a rougher feeling wool. Love it!
