The Fibre Co.’s first brushed yarn is made in a mill in Southern Peru, home of the alpaca. Cirro is a sport weight yarn combining long, lustrous Suri alpaca with Merino wool, and then wrapping this fluffy fibre around an organic cotton thread to make a light and airy yarn perfectly balanced for body and drape. Cirro creates a delightfully soft haloed fabric that is light as a feather and easily worn next to the skin.

I paired 1 hank of Cirro with a lace weight merino in my stash to knit The Minimalist cowl by Winter's Weather Knits. This was a very enjoyable project to knit—easy pattern to memorize. The finished fabric is cozy and soft. I can't wait to use Cirro again in a larger project.
One of my favorite mohair options because it is heavier than lace mohair. Looks great paired with yarns that have a whole core to blend in better.

Soft and ooey gooey!!
I am making a shrug with Blue Moon Cirro for my daughter to wear in the evening with her wedding dress. The yaren is soft and beautiful.
Knit a sweater as a gift to a darling 18 yo going off to college & she loves the color! So do I so also knit one for myself!

As a beginner knitter, I was looking forward to trying a new kind of yarn and picked up Cirro. I loved working with this yarn! It is so soft and drapes really nicely, especially after blocking. The fluff of the yarn is perfect, it looks and feels great but doesn’t shed too much. I ended up making a tee in Sublime and got some more yarn in Divine and Pink Planet for future projects!

I'm knitting now with Cirro in Enchanting, and am amazed by this lovely yarn! It's so light-weight but has a lot of 'tooth'; I washed the back of my sweater half-done to see how it looks (& whether it was tooo loosely knit). Nope, the yarn blooms beautifully. Wow, what's my next color way for this fluffy warm yarn? I LOVE the black cotton core, which adds so much depth.
