New Yarn Colours at The Fibre Co. - Competition Roundup

Five weeks ago we launched seven new colours across four of our yarn lines including, for the first time, speckles. We couldn’t be happier with the response from our stockists and you, our lovely community of knitters. To coincide with the launch, we kicked off a fun competition where we invited you to show us where your loyalties lie: were you Team Neutral or Team Brights?

We’d like to thank everyone who has joined us in celebrating colour by posting their TFC projects and yarn with the hashtags #tfcbrights and #tfcneutrals. Shall we take a look at some of the highlights from both teams?

We had bloggers sharing too if you fancy some light reading this weekend.

Sarah of Knit a Bit of Whimsy reviews our Tundra yarn if you want to know her thoughts on working with our chunky baby alpaca, merino and silk blend.

Nadia blogs about two projects she worked on last month with The Fibre Co. over at The Cottage Notebook. The Herriot Hat she knit for herself in Arranmore and a very sweet Bloomsbury Kids sweater for her young daughter in Cumbria Fingering.

We love that DWJ chose to knit her Tundra speckles into a Bandana Cowl that will pop against her winter coat on grey days. Find all the details over on Yards of Happiness.

Kelly of Celtic Cast On blew us away as she was inspired to turn 2 hanks of Arranmore into a cabled toddler vest. You can watch her talking about the knit and her experience as a Yarn Ambassador on her podcast too.

Grab your tea and knitting and let’s watch a podcast shall we? Bethany of Woolberry Fibre Co. is podcasting for Team Neutral and Sal & Al of the Woolslayers Podcast are all over Team Brights

Okay, okay we know what you’ve been waiting for…

You want to know who the lucky winners are that get to choose three skeins in a new colourway of their choice, don’t you? Drum roll please…..

Congratulations to our winners, Emily, Gabriella & Erika!

Have these creative knitters inspired you to style your knits and take more photos? Check out the video our Brand Marketing Manager Kate O’Sullivan, filmed for our YouTube channel showing How to Style a Flat Lay plus her 5 Tips for Improving Your Phone Photography. She uses these photography tips all the time to shoot our yarn and the flat lays you see on our social media, website and blog.

Thanks again to everyone who took part. If you want more ways to connect you can find us posting most days on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Ravelry.
