Interested in learning how to knit socks? Many knitters are intimidated to cast on their first sock knitting project, yet they’re quite simple once you know how. If you’re anything like us, once you start knitting them, you won’t be able to stop!
One Sock KAL
If you’ve always wanted to knit socks, but you’re not sure where to start, we want to walk you through the process of knitting your first sock in our One Sock KAL! This six-week educational Knit-A-Long is aimed at beginners to sock knitting and will teach you everything you need to knit a sock using the One Sock pattern.
From Friday 30th October – Thursday 10th December, makers who take part will receive a new email every Friday covering everything from choosing the right size and casting on to turning the heel and closing the toe.
Not only that, but KAL members will have the opportunity to win an exciting prize: two skeins of our new sock yarn, Amble, in the colourways of their choice!
Interested? Sign up to join the One Sock KAL today!
If you missed the start of the KAL don’t worry! You’ll receive any information you’ve missed in your first email and there’s no pressure to catch up. Just go at your own pace and share your progress with us using the #onesockkal on Instagram.
Amble – The perfect yarn for One Sock
Amble is everything that you’d want from a sock yarn; soft and comfortable, yet it’s strong enough to withstand lots of wear thanks to the recycled nylon in this blend.
An eco-friendly Easy-wash treatment is used to make Amble machine-washable and easy to care for too.
The Fibre Co. Amble – 70% Easy-wash Merino wool, 20% Easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon
