Description

These beautiful socks are named after Eurybia, the Greek Titan goddess of the sea, and feature beautiful flowing details that capture the graceful dance of water along the shore and in the ocean. They are knitted from the toe up, with increases at the start to create a slightly rounder toe section. The foot and leg feature a beautiful pattern with eyelets, decreases, and twisted ribbing. Gusset increases are placed under the foot, followed by a reinforced heel flap. Despite their intricate appearance, the stitch pattern on these socks is simple and doesn’t require knitting cables.

These socks are knitted in our specially designed sock yarn, Amble, which is spun from a blend of machine washable Merino wool and alpaca as well as recycled nylon. The Merino wool and alpaca fibres have been treated using an eco-friendly alternative to the superwash process, which makes this project truly something you can be proud of.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Amble (70% Easy-wash Merino wool, 20% Easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon, 325 m (355 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Seawall – 1 hank.
