Lingholm Kit

About Lingholm

Lingholm is a cape-length oval shawl, knitted from the back of the neck outwards, incorporating raglan shaping for a beautiful fit on the shoulders. Originally designed by Hiroko Payne in the now discontinued Road to China Lace, this beautiful shawl has been reimagined in The Fibre Co.’s Meadow yarn. The shawl is knit in stocking stitch lace with a small amount of work to be done on WS rows.

Colours:

The photos show samples knit in Meadow Queen Anne’s Lace as well as the original in Road ot China Lace Star Lemon. The equivalent yellow shade in Meadow is Buttercup. Choose from any shade of Meadow as shown above.

Finished Measurements: 143.5 cm [56 in] wide and 64 cm [25 in] deep

You will also need:

• 1 pair 2.5mm (US 1.5) needles, either circular or straight
• 1 pair 3mm (US 2.5) circular needles with 100 – 150 cm (40 – 60 in) cable
• 1 cable needle (optional if working cables without a cable needle)
• 1 crochet hook (between 3-4mm / US 3 – 6)
• Tapestry needle
• Smooth contrasting colour waste yarn
• 6 ring stitch markers, 2 locking stitch markers, and an extra handful of stitch markers
