Description

These beautifully detailed mitts are worked in the round and feature twisted ribbing, decorative eyelets and a unique moss phlox pattern on the cuffs. Knitted in Amble, a conscious blend of washable Merino wool, alpaca and recycled nylon, this kit uses just one skein – which is enough to make two pairs of mitts! Knit a pair for yourself, and then another pair as a gift to someone special.

Inspired by the seasonal flowers in her mother’s garden, designer Mari Tobita chose stitch patterns to emulate the moss phlox blooming, ivy growing on the fence, and the trellis attached to her mother's proud clematis.

Full of stitch interest, this intermediate-level pattern is for knitters wanting a simply written, but complex pattern. The wrist section on the palm side up is worked in a twisted rib and extra stitches under the little finger are added for a better fit. The thumb gusset has eyelets that provide decoration on the palm side.
