Intermediate knitting patterns are aimed at knitters who have a solid understanding of fundamental techniques and are ready for more challenging patterns. Knitters at this level are expected to be comfortable reading patterns, working with a variety of needle types, and executing more advanced techniques such as cables, lace work, detailed construction methods or intarsia. Description
Collanmore is a cozy, open cardigan that is easy to wear with any outfit. It features two stylish pockets and a cable pattern on the body. Collanmore draws inspiration from the graceful movement of waves, which are symbolized by cables, and the granular texture of sand, which is what the moss stitch represents.
This cardigan is worked from the top down, beginning with the top of the back, followed by the top of the fronts, and finally the body, from under the arms. It's knitted using Arranmore Light, a tweedy yarn blend of Merino wool, cashmere, and silk, which is proudly made in Ireland. The Collanmore cardigan is an excellent project for creating an authentic garment with heathered flecks of color and texture.
