Description
Fall in love with color, texture, and the joy of making with Crush Season, a stunning five-color shawl designed by renowned designer Melanie Berg and brought to life in Herb & Hue. Crush Season celebrates the magic that happens when five stunning shades come together on your needles, when the colors dance, shift, and surprise you with every row. The shawl’s playful, engaging construction transforms simple stitches into something truly special. Generous in size and endlessly wearable, it wraps beautifully around your shoulders or drapes effortlessly as a statement piece, perfect for cozy afternoons or long, dreamy evenings of knitting pleasure.
Designed and knit in Herb & Hue, this exceptionally soft yarn is spun from 100% extra fine Merino wool and dyed using nothing but plants. Each skein carries nature’s own palette — logwood, indigo, madder, and other botanical sources — creating luminous, nuanced color without chemicals. With its plump, round structure and luxurious hand, this worsted-weight yarn lends wonderful texture and stitch definition, letting Crush Season’s simple details shine. With every row, you’re not just knitting a shawl — you’re creating a love story in color, nature, and fiber.

Sizes and measurements:
One size
Wingspan (along top edge): 210 cm (82.5 in)
Depth: 65 cm (25.5 in)
Notes:
Crush Season is worked flat, from the right tip towards the left edge, with a center stitch going all the way through the shawl. At first, the stitch count on both sides of the center stitch increases, and once the final width is reached, one side stops increasing. That way, the center stitch slowly shifts from the center towards the left (lower) side of the shawl. Once it has reached it, all stitches are bound off.
