Description
The King Tides Kit pairs a beautifully crafted design by Kay Hopkins with a luxurious yarn to create a wardrobe essential that’s as timeless as it is wearable. The King Tides cardigan blends relaxed elegance with thoughtful structure, offering a modern silhouette that’s perfect layered over jeans, skirts, or even styled as a pullover when buttoned up. Worked seamlessly from the top down, this knitting design features a flattering yoke, a clean double-knit placket, and a collar picked up along the cast-on edge for added stability and polish. The adaptable stripe motif invites personalization—keep it classic, play with placement, or experiment with spacing to make it your own.
This project comes to life in Road to China Light, a sport weight blend of baby alpaca, silk, camel, and cashmere that brings both softness and sophistication to every stitch. Its gentle drape and smooth texture make it the ideal partner for King Tides, enhancing the cardigan’s fluid shape while providing the structure needed for lasting wear. The subtle sheen and tonal depth of Road to China Light add dimension to stripes and elevate the overall look, ensuring this cardigan becomes a go-to favorite for years to come.
