Intermediate
Intermediate knitting patterns are aimed at knitters who have a solid understanding of fundamental techniques and are ready for more challenging patterns. Knitters at this level are expected to be comfortable reading patterns, working with a variety of needle types, and executing more advanced techniques such as cables, lace work, detailed construction methods or intarsia. These patterns require reading complex charts or instructions, offering knitters the chance to refine their skills and explore creative, sophisticated designs.

From the designer: 'We are very lucky to have the most fabulous farm near our home. They grow fields of flowers and harvest the petals to use as wedding confetti – very environmentally friendly, sustainable and insect friendly. In the summer, our green and pleasant land is punctuated by fields of red, white and blue (as well as a little pink and lilac) larkspur! No wedding is complete without confetti and it is truly wonderful to be able to use some that is grown on our doorstep.
If confetti is not your thing, and you prefer your petals and flowers in your own garden, then Larkspur makes the most wonderful cut flowers; as an added bonus they quite often self-seed so you will have them for years to come. As a nod to the Confetti Farm, I used a bead mix for my original shawl and applied them randomly (though I confess to ensuring there was never a row of three of the same color/bead) and used a little more structure for the final two beaded rows.'
