Every 33 years the Leonids storm creates a spectacular show, represented in this sweater with two shades of Lore. Featuring a bold pattern of stylized meteors round the yoke, this is a beautiful statement sweater by designer Jill Thompson Beach that is as fun to knit as it is to wear!
This cropped, yoked sweater is knitted from the top down, seamlessly in the round. After the rib neckband is knit, short rows are worked. The yoke is worked following a colorwork chart to the shoulders where the sleeve sts are put on hold and the rest of the body is worked to the hem. The sleeves are resumed and worked in the round knitted top down. Throughout the colorwork yoke section, small bobbles are worked periodically.
