Intermediate knitting patterns are aimed at knitters who have a solid understanding of fundamental techniques and are ready for more challenging patterns. Knitters at this level are expected to be comfortable reading patterns, working with a variety of needle types, and executing more advanced techniques such as cables, lace work, detailed construction methods or intarsia. Description
The Moonflower Cardigan draws its inspiration from designer Cheryl Toy’s creative journey, in her explorations with a simple leaf motif that evolved to include a vine, and then a flower. This motif repeats to form the beautiful circular yoke design featured on this cardigan. With three sleeve variations available – short, bracelet, or full-length – and the added flexibility of optional waist shaping, you have the freedom to customize this cardigan to your preferences. Featuring one-row buttonholes and a lacy pattern with bobbles, this cardigan can be worn as an outer garment with stylish ease. It is knitted seamlessly in the round from the top down using circular yoke shaping. Sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked in smooth stockinette stitch, finishing with a neat ribbed hem.
Based in the American Deep South, the designer handpicked Luma to make this cardigan because of the suitability of the plant-based fibres for warm-weather knitting. This luxurious blend combines organic cotton and linen with silk and fine Merino wool, offering both warmth and breathability.
