The Moonflower Wrap draws its inspiration from designer Cheryl Toy’s creative journey, in her explorations with a simple leaf motif that evolved to include a vine, and then a flower. This motif repeats to form the beautiful design featured on the border of this wrap. It is an octagon half-circle worked using an 8-point increase strategy. The wrap begins with a garter tab and is then worked in smooth stockinette stitch from the center of the upper edge outward. The lacy pattern is then worked for the wrap border, creating a zigzag hem, and ends with a decorative rolled edge.

Based in the American Deep South, the designer handpicked Luma to make this wrap because of the suitability of the plant-based fibres for warm-weather knitting. This luxurious blend combines organic cotton and linen with silk and fine Merino wool, offering both warmth and breathability.

The Fibre Co. Luma (50% Merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in shade Blue Dusk – 6 hanks.
