Intermediate knitting patterns are aimed at knitters who have a solid understanding of fundamental techniques and are ready for more challenging patterns. Knitters at this level are expected to be comfortable reading patterns, working with a variety of needle types, and executing more advanced techniques such as cables, lace work, detailed construction methods or intarsia. These patterns require reading complex charts or instructions, offering knitters the chance to refine their skills and explore creative, sophisticated designs.
Description
Inspired by its namesake, the Multnomah Falls Cardigan Kit features a classic cardigan design by Kay Hopkins with a clean, modern feel. Simple braided cables paired with an easy lace stitch add subtle texture, while the top-down, seamless construction with modified drop shoulders creates a comfortable, wearable fit. Built-in structure helps the cardigan hold its shape, making it a versatile layer you’ll enjoy wearing again and again.
The kit uses The Fibre Co.’s Cirro, a sport-weight yarn that highlights the cable and lace details with a soft halo. Lightweight yet warm, Cirro creates a cozy fabric that’s comfortable across seasons and durable enough for everyday wear—an excellent match for this timeless cardigan design.
