Rewind Cardy Sample (&Make Aran)

Description

This super versatile drop-shoulder cardigan features chunky ribbed borders, two pockets on the front and an all-over stockinette stitch. Knitting the Rewind Cardy offers the chance to learn techniques like adding button bands, pockets and buttonholes in a format made for beginners. Like with all &Make designs, the knitter is walked through each step of knitting with illustrations, written instructions, and video tutorials. For someone wanting to knit their first cardigan, this is the perfect project.

The Fibre Co. &Make Aran (50% Highland wool, 50% alpaca, 150 m (164 yd) per 100 g ball) in shades:

Solid version: Mon Ami – 6  balls
Colorblock version: Cowabunga & Indigo Child - 2 balls each, Prince, Mon Ami, & Soft Love - 1 ball each

Measurements:

To fit a chest circumference of: 86–91 cm [34–36 in]
Finished chest circumference (at underarm): 108 cm [43 in]
Finished length (from shoulder to hem): 54 cm [21.5 in]

Recommended ease:

Designed with 13–22 cm (7–9 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

Photographs show the garments knit in Size 2 on a model with a chest circumference of 86 cm (34 in).
