The Riptide Halter by Jennifer Shiels Toland is a modern summer knit, featuring alternating bands of textured rib and simple lace. Slightly cropped and designed for layering or standalone wear, it offers a flattering silhouette with clean lines. Integrated armhole edges transition seamlessly into broken rib side panels, a detail shared with its sister pattern, the Riptide Slipover. 

Knit in &Make DK, the Riptide Halter is elevated by the yarn’s unique blend of Highland wool, soft alpaca, and linen. This blend creates a breathable fabric with great stitch definition, making it the perfect choice for creating a versatile summer layer.

The Fibre Co. &Make DK (50% Highland wool, 35% alpaca, 10% linen, 150 m (164 yd) per 100 g ball) in shade Potion – 4 balls.

Measurements:

To fit a chest circumference of: 84 cm [33.5 in]
Finished chest/hip circumference: 84 cm [33.5 in]

Recommended ease:

Designed with 2.5–7.5 cm (1–3 in) of positive ease at chest circumference. Photographs show the garment knit in Size 2 with 5 cm (2 in) of positive ease on the model.

These hand-knitted samples have been gently worn for photoshoots and displayed at trunk shows, so they may show light signs of wear. Each piece has been lovingly cared for and is ready to enjoy.
