Intermediate knitting patterns are aimed at knitters who have a solid understanding of fundamental techniques and are ready for more challenging patterns. Knitters at this level are expected to be comfortable reading patterns, working with a variety of needle types, and executing more advanced techniques such as cables, lace work, detailed construction methods or intarsia. These patterns require reading complex charts or instructions, offering knitters the chance to refine their skills and explore creative, sophisticated designs.
Description
Inspired by the waves crashing against the rocky shore of the Oregon coast, Searose Tank is a wonderful top to wear in spring and throughout the summer. Rippling ocean waves in syncopated brioche create an A-line shape that allows the fabric to float away from the body creating a flattering drape. The entire tank top is knit in brioche in the round, from the hem to the underarms, then split, and the front and back are knit flat separately.
Knitted in two shades of Acadia, a rustic blend of silk noil, baby alpaca, and Merino wool, this yarn adds drape and luster as well as an interesting knobbly texture to this beautiful project.
