Today, we are delighted to finally share the newest addition to our range of yarns. Two years in the making, Lore is the yarn that our founder, Daphne, has always wanted to create for The Fibre Co.
Processed in a mill in England’s historical textile region of West Yorkshire, Lore is spun from 100% lambswool from the Romney sheep breed also referred to locally as Kent lamb.
It is a woollen spun DK weight yarn that blooms into a beautiful knitted fabric after washing. Garments made from Lore will wear well and are perfect for everyday and special adventures alike.

The Borrowdale Collection from The Fibre Co.
We are particularly excited today because, alongside Lore, we are also launching The Borrowdale Collection.
Borrowdale is a 21-piece collection of garments and accessories designed by some of our favourite indie designers. This collection is made for everyday adventures – the kind of pieces you could wear out on a hike or snuggled up on the sofa.
Each piece is designed to be fun and engaging to make, featuring clever techniques and enjoyable stitch patterns. The finished objects are timeless, practical and beautiful pieces that will slot easily into your everyday wardrobe.

Borrowdale Online Trunk Show
To celebrate the launch of Borrowdale, we have filmed our very first online trunk show to show you each piece from the collection, modelled by some of The Fibre Co. team.
First, our founder, Daphne, will talk you through our new yarn Lore and the inspiration behind it. She will then show you each design, talk about the knitted sample’s colourway and even discuss how you might want to style it.

We hope you enjoyed learning more about Lore & Borrowdale in our online trunk show. Which piece is your favourite from the collection?
