Description

Gaspra is a relaxed fit, open-front cardigan with an eyelet yoke and voluminous sleeves. This cozy sweater is designed by Natalie Warner and worked seamlessly from the bottom up, using short rows to shape the sleeve cap. Worked up in Cirro, this pretty cardigan is a light layer you’ll love to wrap up in on a cold winter’s day.

Soft, light and romantic, Atmosphere is a six-piece sweater collection designed to celebrate the launch of our brushed yarn, Cirro.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50g hank) in shade Sublime 3 [4: 4: 5: 5: 6: 6: 7: 7] hanks.

Construction notes:

The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. The back and fronts are knitted as one piece, then divided at the armhole and worked separately. Shoulder stitches are left on hold and joined via the 3-needle cast-off method, after which the sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted around the armhole curve. Sleeve head shaping is achieved via German short rows, after which the sleeve is joined and knitted in the round down towards the cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up along the opening edges and back neck for the buttonhole band.
