YARN:
The Fibre Co. &Make Super Bulky (100% Highland wool, 80 m (87 yd) per 100 g ball) in shades Indigo Child (A) – 2 balls, Cherries & Berries (B) – 2 balls, Smiley (C) – 2 balls, Monster (D) – 2 balls, and Mille Pink (E) – 2 balls.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This large cosy striped throw is knit flat from one end to the other using knit stitches to form an all-over garter stitch pattern, with a new colour change every 8 rows. Two rows of a slip stitch pattern are worked after colour changes to provide an interesting transition between shades. The edges are kept tidy using the Distitch Selvedge Edge technique by Assia Brill.

TENSION/GAUGE:
10 stitches and 22 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over Garter Stitch after blocking using your main needles.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS REQUIRED:

  • 9mm (US 13) circular needles with a minimum cord length of 80 cm (32 in)
  • Darning needle

TECHNIQUES USED:

  • Long Tail Cast-On Method
