Description

Wild Child Cardy is a relaxed fit statement garment made up of color pop squares designed by Lee Sartori. With a boxy silhouette and simple collar shape, all the attention is on the beautiful floral details of the squares and the co-ordinating edgings. Mood-boosting colors and a finer yarn weight make this project a fun creative challenge. This cardigan’s wow factor will add me-made joy to any summer outfit.

Crocheted in our durable, soft, eco-friendly Amble, this is a great easy-to-care-for project made from Easy-wash Merino wool, Easy-wash alpaca and recycled nylon. Easy-wash is a trademarked name that refers to a process used to make the wool and alpaca fibres in Amble machine washable without shrinking. The Easy-wash method is chlorine-free and AOX-free, making it a better environmental choice for producing machine washable wool.

Construction notes:

The cardigan is made from individual squares that are made separately and sewn together, starting at the shoulders, adding the sleeves then sewing side and seam sleeves from the hem to the armpit, and then from the armpit to the cuff. Once joined, a further cuff is added to the sleeve in rounds, then a border is added to the outside edge of the cardigan in one round. A final edge is added to the neck and a hem is added in rows to the bottom of the cardigan.
