Description

Astro Pop by Marie Greene is a lightweight, short-sleeve tee featuring a striking zig-zag striped yoke and delicate lace details along the sides of the body. Worked seamlessly from the top down, it begins with short row shaping at the back neck for a comfortable fit, then flows into an engaging yoke pattern using a larger needle to preserve gauge across textures. The body is knit in the round after the sleeve separation, keeping the process smooth and satisfying, with the sleeves picked up and finished last. This modern take on a vintage classic is designed with both flair and wearability in mind, effortlessly slotting into a handmade wardrobe—ideal for layering or wearing solo on warmer days.

The Fibre Co. Luma is available in a stunning array of bright and neutral shades, giving you the freedom to create a color combination that makes the zig-zag stripes of your Astro Pop tee truly sing! Crafted from a luxurious blend of merino wool, organic cotton, linen, and silk, Luma offers the best of all worlds. With its crisp stitch definition and soft, airy feel, it’s the ideal yarn for a summer knit that’s as comfortable to wear as it is eye-catching.

Astro Pop kits are also available in Acadia and &Make DK.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Luma (50% Merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) –  (MC) – 5 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 10) hanks, (CC) – 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) hanks and (AC) – 1 hank (all sizes).

Colors:

Tips for choosing the Main Color: Darker shades work well here, since they’re lower on the body and often create a flattering silhouette. But “darker” doesn’t have to mean boring. Think BOLD, FUN colors that you might love, but may not necessarily want next to their faces.

Tips for choosing the Contrast Color: Neutrals, light colors, and colors we want closer to our faces work best here.

Tips for the Accent Color: This color should stand out from the other two and will be used on the zig-zag pattern on the yoke.
