Holiday Doodle Stocking Kit

Description

Add a touch of cozy charm to your festive season with the Holiday Doodle Stocking. Inspired by the motifs in holiday sweaters and Christmas wrapping, the pattern uses mix-and-match micro charts in festive motifs to allow the knitter to design a unique holiday stocking.

The pattern is worked in the round, from the top down. It begins with a ribbed cuff, then a section of “doodle” colorwork, a Mock Short Row heel, finishing with similar colorwork along the foot, and a traditional sock toe closed with Kitchener Stitch. This is a Pacific Knit Co. Doodle Series Pattern, which means it includes micro charts intended to be used as mix-and-match colorwork motifs throughout the project. 

The Fibre Co. Lore is a perfect woolen-spun yarn for stranded colorwork, creating an heirloom project to be cherished for many years to come. This kit includes enough Lore to knit one Holiday Doodle Stocking.

Option A: Multi background stocking in 4 colors
The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool from the English Romney sheep breed, 250 m (273 yd) per 100 g hank) in (MC) – 1 hank.
The Fibre Co. Lore Minis (100% lambswool, 65m (68 yd) per 25 g ball) in (MC) – 1 ball, (CC1) – 2 balls, (CC2) – 2 balls, (CC3) – 2 balls.

Option B: Single background stocking in 4 colors
The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool from the English Romney sheep breed, 250 m (273 yd) per 100 g hank) in (MC) – 2 hanks.
The Fibre Co. Lore Minis (100% lambswool, 65m (68 yd) per 25 g ball) in (CC1) – 1 ball, (CC2) – 1 ball, (CC3) – 1 ball.

Option C: Single background stocking in 3 colors
The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool from the English Romney sheep breed, 250 m (273 yd) per 100 g hank) in (MC) – 2 hanks.

Notes:

If you want to knit a longer stocking or use a different color distribution than shown in the illustrations, you may need to purchase extra Lore or Lore Minis.

This kit allows enough yarn to make one Holiday Doodle Stocking in size Wide.

The pattern includes charts to follow for the colorwork.
