This striking sweater combines vertical and horizontal ribbing with a bold panel of reverse stocking stitch to shape the neckline. The body is worked in pieces and the shoulders are joined, the sleeves are then worked flat from the top down. The collar is worked in the round and the body and sleeves are then seamed to complete the garment.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Arranmore (now discontinued) (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk, 160 m (175 yd) per 100g hank) in St Claire – 5 [6: 6: 7: 7: 8] hanks.

Construction notes:

The body is worked in pieces and the shoulders are joined, the sleeves are then worked flat from the top down. The collar is worked in the round and the body and sleeves are then seamed to complete the garment.
