YARN:
The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool, 250 m (273 yd) per 100 g hank) in Knowing (A) – 3 [3: 4: 4: 4: 5: 5: 5: 6] hanks and Happiness (B) – 1 [1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1] hank.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This cropped, yoke sweater is knitted from the top down, seamlessly in the round. After the rib neckband is knit, short rows are worked. The yoke is worked following a colourwork chart to the shoulders where the sleeves are put on hold and the rest of the body is worked to the hem. The sleeves are resumed and worked in the round knitted top down. Throughout the colourwork yoke section, small bobbles are worked periodically.

RECOMMENDED EASE:
Designed with 0-15 cm (0-6 in) of positive ease at chest circumference

TENSION/GAUGE:
20 sts and 28 rounds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over single colour st st after blocking using 3.5mm (US 4) needles.
22 sts and 24 rounds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over colourwork st st after blocking using 3.5mm (US 4) needles.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3.5mm (US 4) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge) in length smaller than finished chest circumference
  • 2.75mm (US 2) circular needle in length smaller than the finished chest circumference
  • 2.75mm (US 2) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle
  • 2.75mm (US2) circular or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holders or waste yarn
  • Darning needle
