Designed by Claire King, the Portland Cardigan this wardrobe favourite works as well with jeans as it does in the office. The fisherman’s rib stitch makes it super cosy and the statement sleeves ooze style. And it is so simple and easy that even beginners can create their own wardrobe. The cardigan is worked in rectangles, with front and back pieces worked first then sleeves are joined and seamed. If you would like a longer body then stitches can be added to the front and back lengths. The designer has created videos for the fisherman’s rib stitch used in the pattern that can we viewed here.
About the Designer
Designer Claire King lives on the beautiful coast of North West England where she is inspired by views of the mountains of Wales and Cumbria. Claire is all about creating easy knit and crochet designs that use traditional techniques with a modern minimalist aesthetic.
