The One Series
The One Series started out from one basic principle: 'a simple sweater is universal: it’s a garment that every wardrobe benefits from.'
So far in our One Series, we have six beginner-friendly designs that have been a huge success, including One Sock, One Cardigan, and four editions of our much-loved One Sweater.
One Sweater
The founding One Sweater pattern for this ever-growing collection was designed by Becky Baker in The Fibre Co.’s Cumbria yarn. A simple, raglan pullover that is gender-inclusive and available in 15 sizes. Knit from the top-down and with two-length suggestions, this pattern allows you to tailor your sweater to your own measurements and try it on as you go.
It felt only right to use Cumbria: the yarn we developed to celebrate the community we live in. This worsted weight yarn is available in a palette of saturated colours inspired by the lakes and hills around us. An accompanying video series was also filmed to help you through every step of the pattern, making One Sweater a fantastic project for first-time sweater knitters.

A lighter-weight version soon followed with the One Sweater DK. Offering even more versatility than the original, with 4 different yarn options: Acadia, Arranmore Light, Lore and Luma and over 90 colourway options to choose from.
Featuring short row neck shaping for an improved fit and classic raglan detailing, the pattern is offered over 15 sizes from age 1-2 through to a 64″ chest and with the option of a shorter or longer length for the adult sizes.

One Sock
To celebrate the launch of our new sock yarn Amble, the One Sock pattern, designed by Kate Atherley, was added to the One Series. Amble was designed to be the perfect sock yarn, made with a blend of Easy-wash merino, Easy-wash alpaca and recycled nylon.
With lots of ways to customise the fit and design, this pattern comes with the One Sock Guidebook, a resource that walks makers through the process of knitting beautiful socks that fit, as well as an opportunity to practice your new sock skills with the beginner-friendly One Sock Baby pattern. The One Sock pattern comes with an instructional booklet and provides instruction for 4 sizes of baby socks as well as 11 sizes of adult socks.
Following on from the success of the One Sock pattern, we created three fantastic kits that would allow all lovers of socks to join in and get creative with sock knitting! We also created an essential video series called ‘One Sock Knitting Tutorials‘ to help you through every step of the pattern.

One Sweater Texture
Next up was the One Sweater Texture, using The Fibre Co.’s Cumbria yarn. One Sweater Texture builds on the original design by adding a stitch pattern to create a rich textured fabric and more knitting fun.
With 15 sizes from infant to adult and two length options for adults, this versatile sweater pattern is sure to be a wardrobe staple for all genders.

One Cardigan
Branching beyond our staple One Sweater, the One Cardigan, designed by Sarah Hatton, is a beginner-friendly design for your favourite classic V-neck, raglan cardi. The pattern works for all our DK weight yarns: Acadia, Arranmore Light, Lore and Luma.
The added flexibility of our two-length suggestions allows you to tailor your cardigan to your own measurements as you try it on as you knit. The One Cardigan is a beginner-friendly project knit in one piece from the top down and features a 2×2 rib and a raglan sleeve.
