Introducing The Waves Collection

Introducing The Waves Collection:
Armadale by Melanie Berg from The Waves Collection
Pattern shown, Armadale by Melanie Berg

We have a deep appreciation for indie designers here at The Fibre Co. and so we are honoured to introduce a collection that contains 6 patterns from 3 different designers known for their beautiful shawl designs. Melanie Berg, Helen Stewart and Hiroko Payne each create patterns that not only work beautifully as a finished object but are also a pleasure to knit. It feels so good to draw these women together and showcase all they do alongside one of our favourite yarn lines.

Road to China

These 6 shawls are created with our luxury blend of Road to China. Road to China combines cashmere, camel, baby alpaca and silk to create a knit fabric with a soft halo but enough definition to explore subtle textures and shifting patterns. It comes in a colour palette inspired by nature’s jewels and each hank is dyed to work in harmony with the raw fibres that go into the blend. Road to China is the hank we reach for when we want to create something truly special. These 3 designers have just what it takes to truly show such a luxurious yarn in all its glory.

Some of you might have caught these designs scattered across Ravelry’s Hot Right Now after we previewed the collection at Edinburgh Yarn Festival. We’re thrilled with the reaction and know that our designers truly deserve their success. Inside the collection you will find:

To view the entire collection and all the details, you can view each pattern now on Ravelry, here. We will be chatting about the wonderful samples from the test knits and favourite designs in the Ravelry group so do join us there to tell us what you think about the new collection.

If you’re ready to cast on one of the garments using our Road to China yarn, you can find your nearest stockist here or ask at your local store. We’re ready for soft, rippling layers that take us into new adventures and we hope you are too.
