Terra is the founding yarn of The Fibre Co. — the original hank from which every yarn line that followed grew. Its creation began with founder Daphne's early experiments hand blending at the carding machine in her small Maine mill, exploring how dye reacted to the natural colors of different fibres. Those experiments shaped The Fibre Co.'s approach to yarn-making from that day forward.
A blend of alpaca, merino, and silk, Terra is an impossibly soft single-ply aran weight yarn with a gentle slub and the kind of drape that comes from getting the fibre balance exactly right. Kettle dyeing gives each hank subtle duotone depth, letting the natural interplay of fibre and color speak for itself. Colors inspired by nature's palette; fibres selected for their natural beauty.
