Description

Canopy Worsted holds a special place in The Fibre Co.'s story—it was the first yarn developed after outgrowing the original mini mill in Maine, and the one that signaled the brand was ready to grow into something truly global. Its inspiration came from founder Daphne's years spent in Africa, where the lush canopies of tropical rainforests and the vivid fauna and flora of those ecosystems found their way into a color palette of heady, rich duotones. "Fruits of the forest" was always Canopy's tagline, and it earned it.

The blend itself was ahead of its time. Bamboo was just emerging as a recognized sustainable resource when Canopy was developed, and its addition alongside baby alpaca and merino wool brought something new to The Fibre Co.'s lineup: extraordinary sheen, a silky drape, and a smooth three-ply twist. Alpaca and bamboo give the fabric its elegant hand while the Merino wool provides just enough bounce to keep it lively on the needles. The result is a yarn that feels at once plush and refined, versatile across seasons and project types.
