Wrap up against any stormy weather ahead with this sweep of a cardigan designed by Linda Marveng. Long lines combine with soft-flowing cables along the front bands. Worked in pieces from the bottom up, this seamed garment offers the interest of more textured sections with the soothing calm of stockinette for the main body. Longer in length, this open-front A-line cardigan can be worn as a sweater coat in milder weather or offer the ultimate layer in colder times when its comforting texture is needed.
About the Designer
Born in Norway, Linda Marveng was fitted out in her mother’s designs, which laid a seed for her interest in fashion. When old enough to draw, she created her own designs and was knitting by the age of ten. Linda eventually moved to London where she worked as a knitwear design consultant and began developing her beautiful cabled designs. Today Linda is back in Norway where she proofs and translates patterns for others, teaches workshops and continues to inspire the knitting community with her own cabled designs.
