Bassenfell Kit (Cumbria Fingering)

The meditative power of the garter stitch is applied here to give a classic, rustic feel while a modern update is offered with columns of cluster stitches flowing from the top edge. Bassenfell is a two-skein project that offers interesting construction, creating a pleasing asymmetric shape that is worked from tip to tip. Long enough to knot around your neck on cold days but pretty enough to drape and make a statement when safe from the wind and rain.    A video tutorial is available for the I-cord cast on.

The pattern is written for one size measuring 230 cm (90.5 in) wingspan along top edge and 42 cm (16.5 in) width.

• 3.75mm (US 5) 80 cm (32 in) circular needle
• 7 stitch markers
