The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool, 250 m (273 yd) per 100 g hank) in Fair – 1 hank
CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This hat is worked in the round from the rib up. It consists of diamond panels that repeat across the hat and frame a tree panel. The diamond panels are worked using easy knit and purl combinations, while the tree panel uses mini cables to construct the branch motif. The ribbing flows organically into the main section of the hat. The crown consists of rapid decreases across the hat. The height of the hat can be modified by knitting more or fewer repeats of the Diamond and Tree Patterns before beginning the crown.

TENSION/GAUGE:
21 sts and 31 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st after blocking using 4mm (US 6) needles.

- 3.25mm (US 3) 40 cm (16 in) circular needles
- 4mm (US 6) 40 cm (16 in) circular needles and double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
- 3 stitch markers
- Darning needle
- Cable needle
