Description
The Gridland Scarf is a beginner-friendly project utilizing the beauty of simple knit and purl stitches to make a big, warm hug of a scarf. Make a solid color scarf or experiment with different color combinations in a colorblock scarf. Designed for three different yarn weights—DK, aran, and super bulky.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. &Make DK (55% Highland wool, 35% alpaca, 10% linen, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g ball) – 8 balls
The Fibre Co. &Make Aran (50% Highland wool, 50% alpaca, 150 m (164 yd) per 100 g ball) – 3 balls.
The Fibre Co. &Make Super Bulky (100% Highland wool, 80 m (87 yd) per 100 g ball) – 5 balls.
Construction notes:
The Gridland Scarf is knit from one end to the other, using knit and purl stitches to create a gridded pattern in the fabric. A slipped-stitch selvedge keeps the edges tidy. Weave in the ends, block your scarf, and voila! Your first scarf is ready to wear!
