Description
Brenna by Emma Wright is a mixed-stitch cowl worked in three shades of Cumbria yarn. This beginner-friendly knitting pattern is perfect for exploring color through distinct stitch blocks, including woven slip stitch, seed stitch, mini bobble stitch, striped garter stitch, and wicker stitch.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Cumbria (60% merino wool, 30% brown masham wool, 10% mohair; 218m (238yds) per 100g hank) in shades Buttermere (MC), Scafell Pike (CC1) and Hadrian’s Wall (CC2) – 1 hank each.
Construction notes:
There are five panels each with their own stitch pattern. The cowl is worked flat and seamed to create the cowl. Alternatively, the cowl could be worked with a provisional cast on and instead of binding off, joining the two ends for an invisible seam by grafting with the Kitchener stitch.
